| | Net access problems... I posted a problem a few days ago regarding net access. Here is an outline of the problem. IE7, Vista ultimate (sp1 installed) IE Works great for about 15 minutes, then hangs. I am still getting the same problem so I decided to try a different browser (fireFox) And i get the same problem. Ok so it must be a problem with my net connection? well no as I still can retrieve emails, post to news groups and even play online games when IE and Firefox hangs.... so connection is not the problem, or is it? what could be causing the browsers to hang? Firewall? still does it even when disabled (ZoneAlarm) cable modem drivers? nope upto date. I have now had so many problems with Vista I am starting to think it was a bad idea to switch to it! never had a single problem with XP. Big thx guys and Girls! |

| | RE: Net access problems... You might want to go over to networking and sharing discussion group for this one. Be sure to list all of the troubleshooting procedures that you tried and the order in which you performed them. As a long shot you could phone your IP and see if they have any server issues that would explain this occurance. It happened to me a few months ago when my Vista IE crashed. Charter Communication verified to me that they had some encryption problems peculiar to Vista Windows Live Mail. The problem had lasted 2 days and drove me nuts. Like I said, it's a long shot. -- oscar ![]() ....Right click is your best friend... "Squirrel-Salad" wrote: Quote: > I posted a problem a few days ago regarding net access.
