| | Help an old Granny with Screensavers!! Hi there. Have Vista 64 and have purchased a 3D screensaver off the net. Only problem is that I don't know how to get it into the "screensaver" list. Found the file in SysWOW64. Currently the only way I can get the screensaver to work is to "preview" it and leave running. Driving me bananas!! Would love you to death if you can help Cheers.....Pam -- Pam Horner |

I can't make any assumptions about syswow64, but I'd run several virus programs over that thing long before actually allowing it to execute. spybot S&D is very good. No better or worse . But it is continuously updated. It may just be full of advertising, or hijackers, and key loggers. Thingsyou don't want any trouble with. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

No? for it' it's safe, you're probably looking at a bad day-week-month down the road. Lots of paid stuff comes filled with ads and hijackers. It's the only way some of them can make a profit. Yahoo has had these hijackers on their home pages. the web is a nasty place. And SCR files are just one more instance of where to find bad stuff. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

| | Re: Help an old Granny with Screensavers!! Thanks everyone for the help. Got it into the screensaver section, but now realise that because i am using a wireless keyboard the program just won't cut in. Guess i can kiss my $20 goodbye. Maybe I should upgrade to XP?? -- Pam Horner |
