The problem is that the product key you were given is for activating Ultimate
edition, not Home Basic. They have not given any keys out for Home Basic to
the CPP participants and I don't think they are planning on doing so.
You need to install Ultimate edition. I believe there is a way to simply
upgrade to Ultimate without going through the setup again, but I haven't
tried it. If you go to "start", right click on "computer", select
"properties", look under "windows edition", there is a link you can click
"upgrade windows vista" to upgrade to Ultimate. Once you do that, your
product key will work.
