| Guest | everything got bigger! Recently, my computer's display spontaneously changed, and now all the icons on the desktop have gotten dramatically bigger. It seems to have effected everything, and even web pages I open are suddenly bigger than they used to be. Any idea how to fix that? Thanks! |

Now select Display settings.. You need to set the resolution to 1024 x 768 or greater.. If you find that the settings will not hold, re-install your video card drivers.. -- Mike Hall - MVP How to construct a good post.. http://dts-l.com/goodpost.htm How to use the Microsoft Product Support Newsgroups.. http://support.microsoft.com/default...help&style=toc Mike's Window - My Blog.. http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/default.aspx |

The resolution at which the monitor is running has changed (perhaps by some program you ran). Right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize. Click Display Settings, and look for the Resolution slider, about two-thirds of the way down. You will want to move that slider to the right, closer to High. Do you have a CRT monitor, or an LCD? If it's a CRT, try different settings, and choose whichever you like best. But if it's an LCD, it has a native resolution, and the image will be best at that resolution. Check your documentation to see what the native resolution is, and set it to that. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup |
