Vista - SigmaTel Audio(no sound) after Vista upgrade

Dell Inspiron 6000 SigmaTel Audio (NOT HD)
I upgraded my PC from XP to VISTA Home Premium. Red X over the sound icon.
When I move the mouse over it, it says No Audio Output Device is installed. I
went to the Dell website to download the driver, and they only have support
for HD SigmaTel audio devices. I DO NOT have an HD device.

This is the link for the troubleshooting instructions. It states the the
problem ONLY happens with SigmaTel HD.
My Device manager does not show an audio device.

Please help me with this problem if anyone knows of a solution.

Did you check all of the drivers? Several are NOT for the HD chip:
