Corrupted recycle bin

About once a week when I delete something it says that my recycle bin is
corrupted and do I want to empty it? What causes this? What can I do to fix
it?

Re: Corrupted recycle bin

Delete the folder $Recycle.Bin from a C:> prompt. Rightclick a Command
Prompt icon on Start, and 'Run as Administrator'
