Can Vista disable the "Automatic restore point" but keep manual restorepoint?

Hi All:

Can Vista disable the "Automatic restore point" but keep manual restore
point?

When I try to disable the "Automatic restore point", Vista always prompt
to completely stop the "System restore".

However, actually I just want to stop the "Automatic restore point"
creation and I want to keep the ability creating restore point manually
when necessary.

Thank you.

The automatic restore points are handled by the Task Scheduler. They can be
disabled there.

RE: Can Vista disable the "Automatic restore point" but keep manual re

Click on the start Orb and type Task scheduler, then select it at the top.
Select Task Scheduler Library (by clicking on the small arrow next to the
words), then Microsoft, Windows. Then scroll down to System Restore and click
on it. In the right hand column under Actions, click on disable. You can
always reenable it there if you want.
