Folders

What does it take to get Explorer to display ALL the folders on my drives?
My AV reported an infection in a sub-folder under C:\Documents and Settings,
and according to Explorer, Documents and Settings doesn't exist on C: drive.
I had to boot into Safe Mode and use a third party Explorer type program
(Total Commander) to even display the folders. Is there any way to just get
Explorer to display everything on the drive? I've already unchecked the
hide option under the Tools menu.
