Vista - Unexpected shutdown

I'm getting one message from yesterday when i re-start my computer

"Windows has recovered from a unexpected shutdown"



Help would be appreciated.....Thanks.......

I have been having the same problem and got this solution from a friend who
works at Microsoft and it seems to have worked --

From the research I have done it appears to center around power settings and
drivers doing bad things going in to or coming out of sleep. Suggestions I
saw were:

1. Set the HD shutdown to occur prior to sleep e.g. in the power
settings set the HD shut down for 30 min. and the general sleep setting for
more than that

2. Turn off power management e.g. run at full power with no auto-sleep

3. Make sure the BIOS is the most current for the motherboard

4. Turn off power settings in the BIOS and rely on the Vista power
settings.
