| Guest | Adding a program to startup list so it runs automatically I have Vista Home Premium on my laptop. I have a Verizon network card. When I boot the computer I go to the quick launch area where I put a shortcut for the Verizon program to get on the air. I would like to add the instructions for the computer to run this for me each time the computer is started without my having to initiate the program manually. I look at msconfig and see the programs there that automatically run but I don't know how to add the verizon program, Access Manager.exe Many thanks in advance. Chet |

| Guest | Re: Adding a program to startup list so it runs automatically Paul, thank you. After messing around for some time and not accomplishing it, I tried something just after posting the first message. What I did was to go into the program and under preferences found an option to have it run on startup (silly me, didn't see it before!! ) Second thing needed was to tell the program via the same preference tab that once the program was running it was to automatically connect, i.e. without my having to click on the "connect" tab. I feel a little sheepish about bothering the group with the question. Now I can explore how to "drag the program into the startup group" because at the moment I'm not sure where I find that group! At any rate, I'm up and running. Thanks. Chet "Chet" <nospam@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:e$TLyv%23%23IHA.1040@xxxxxx Quote: >I have Vista Home Premium on my laptop.
