XP boot loader.

Sorry theres a thread about it allready but i searched a little and didnt find anything

I had XP pro on my laptop and now i installed vista (removed xp , didnt keep both) but Earlier versions of windows is still an option when it boots. Is there a way to remove it and boot vista straight away?

Re: XP boot loader.

Download and install VistaBootPro (www.vistabootpro.org). This software is
free.
Once installed run VistaBootPro and click on the Manage OS Entries tab. You
will now see your boot menu list of operating systems installed on your PC.
Highlight the operating system you want to remove and then click the red 'X'
button on the right of the list of operating systems. The entry you have
highlighted will now be removed. Finally click the 'apply updates' button.
When you restart your PC will boot straight into Vista.

So will this: EasyBCD by NeoSmart Technologies, mentioned by
PCMagazine and PCWorld as a BCD GUI for Vista's boot manager -
http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1 .
And here is documentation:
http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBC...mentation+Home

Or... just run "bootrec /rebuildbcd" from the installation CD's
Recovery Environment: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927392 .
