| | Super slow processing when RIPing a cd I have a vista home premium quar core intel,4GB system . Most often when I am ripping a cd the process flys right thru. Occasionally, when trying to rip a cd it will go excrucuatingly slow--ie. maybe 15 minutes to do 20 tracks that are only 3 min. tracks. I opened my system resources and it shows that I have 2.4GB of available ram so that shouldn't be the problem and I am running no other applications. If I do a restart and try again, then the same cd flys right thru. Does anyone have any idea as to what might be the issue? Thanks. Carl |
