| | Re: a "sandboxie" like isolation tool that works in vista x64? I am testing this as I write. It does exactly as it states. If I choose to save a link from the web page to my desktop the link is not there when I close down the browser. Anything that happens while you are browsing just disappears when you close down the browser. Even a purposefully introduced virus from a known infector web site was not on my system. So far - I like it! I have even turned off protected mode in IE because it is now duplicated in ZA Forcefield. If this program keeps on protecting as it seems to do I believe the chance of being infected through the internet is greatly diminished. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "markm75" <markm75c@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:d4f50487-29d2-48ac-a0be-13f632562f80@xxxxxx On Aug 19, 10:00 pm, "Richard Urban" <richardurbanREMOVET...@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: > ZoneAlarm ForceField > athttp://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/catalog/products/zonealarm_for... > > -- > > Richard Urban > Microsoft MVP > Windows Desktop Experience > > "markm75" <markm...@xxxxxx> wrote in message > > news:a6acbc5f-5748-4c64-acb4-9f0a559fa1cb@xxxxxx > > > Quote: > > Does anyone know of an process isolation tool like Sandboxie that > > works in x64 Vista? IE: notepad.exe for example. If so then this could be useful, though oddly achieved, ie: via a browser interface that is, rather than right clicking an exe in the explorer interface and saying "Run sandboxed". |
