Protected Mode: Cannot find downloads

Hello,

I am running with Protected Mode on in IE7 and I find that some downloads /
links to files like word / pdfs are saved in an area on my computer that is
"virtualized" but I cannot find it!!!! When I try to re-download the file,
the dialogue asks if I want to overwrite the existing file ... For example,
if I choose to save to my Desktop, the file does not show, but it says it's
there. Can someone please tell me where the file is stored and how to access
it. I believe these files are starting to take up a good deal of space on my
HD.

Re: Protected Mode: Cannot find downloads

Hi Justin,

C:\Users\<username> is the hierarchy of the user profile where the actual
folders are. The default storage for downloads is usually the individual's
documents folder under that user-defined folder.
