In 40 years of computing, I have seen a lot of changes. But Vista gets my vote for worst design. The way it looks and feels, I thought it was AOL 10... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

It is stable as heck and hardly ever crashes and is very reliable with very few issues. I think it looks fantastic and is very easy to use even for the basic users. As for the OP I would go with the 32bit version just to make your life easier. Finding the right drivers for the more basic user is not something you might want to deal with. If you find a computer that already has 64 bit Vista installed I would go with that, but the choice is yours! |

| Guest | Re: 32bits or 64 Everyone has their preferences. I'm glad you like it. Maybe I don't like it because it was designed for 'basic users'. It looks like they changed a lot of things just to say it is different. Personally, I have to see a benefit to accept a change as necessary. I don't see anything that Vista can do that the previous version couldn't. They claim improved security, but I never had an issue with that on previous versions. The 'protect me from myself' mentality just irritates me. "Adamd" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:eaea714961ce3b537657e34c927a0b89@xxxxxx-gateway.com...
