Re: Coping Email

Copy from C:\users\your username\appdata\local\microsoft\windows mail\local
folders\*.* to where ever you want the backup. At least that is where I
found the email on my computer.

Re: Coping Email

Hi,

First, create an empty folder on your drive to accept the export ( name it mail copy or something similar).

Open Windows Mail, click File>Export>Messages, then select Microsoft Windows Mail and click next.

It will ask you to select a folder to export to, Browse to the folder you have created on your selected drive and click next, then select the mail folders you want to export click next -That's it.

If you like to save emails, or have them available on any computer, you
should look into using webmail, or IMAP, instead of POP3.

I use FastMail, (as well as a couple of webmail email services, Google Mail
and Hotmail), which can be accessed through web, IMAP and POP3. They have
quite a few domains to choose from, and you can use your own as well. It
doesn't even cost anything to use your own domain (I can supply info on that
on request).
