| Home Premium 32BIT | Auto fill (not auto complete) We just bought a new Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista Home Premium 32BIT SP1, factory installed. My internet browser is IE. I am trying to figure out where the autofill feature is. Not the autocomplete that completes email addresses or words that I have started, but autofill. On earlier Windows operating systems they definately had that feature. You had to open it up, type in all the information (name, address, work phone, home phone, etc.) and then when you visited. Problem is, I've looked everywhere I can think of and I can't find the feature. Does anyone know how to access that feature (I can't believe they don't have it in Vista). Help, please. |

| | Re: Auto fill (not auto complete) Depending on what form it was, IE would remember some of that stuff, sometimes with a cookie. I believe autocomplete had to be enabled for that to work also. | | Re: Auto fill (not auto complete) In IE7, Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete - Settings you can toggle it on, and it will remember what you type in. But you can't enter the info, like you can with the Google toolbar. http://toolbar.google.com/T4/index_pack_xp.html -- Vista Home Premium 32 SP1 http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Not Even Me" <cargod01@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uRVfsPBCJHA.5196@xxxxxx Quote: > Depending on what form it was, IE would remember some of that stuff, > sometimes with a cookie. > I believe autocomplete had to be enabled for that to work also. > > "Cimoc" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message > news:f548f66aa04f89d48011bc62fd7a7d84@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | | RE: Auto fill (not auto complete) The "autofill" program you are looking for is now included in the Microsoft Live Toolbar. It is labeled Form Fill and you enter all the information you want to automatically fill in forms on web pages. As a bonus it also keeps all your sign in information (doubles the job of autocomplete).
