Problem Disabling Vista Search Index

I'm trying to disable vista search indexing but when I uncheck "Index this drive for faster searching" in Local Disk properties I keep gettined "Access Denied." It says that I need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes.

So.. then I went into the security tab and messed with a few things...
Under 'Group or user names' there should be Authenticated Users, SYSTEM, Administators, Users but some how Authenticated Users got deleted under that list. I'm kind of lost here and don't know what I'm doing exactly. Can I please get some help?

I'm using Vista Home Premium 32 bit and was follow the directions in http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=166532

Thanks!
