Changing Vista orbs?

How do you change the start menu orb? I dled some realyl nice ones, but I'm at a loss as to wha to do with it. Google gave me nothing.

Start orb is located under Windows Aero Visual Style that is
aero.msstyle (C:\Windows\Resources\Aero) as a PNG file.

-NOTE: Change resources and modification of system files can make your
system un-stable.-

He'll still need something to do that though. I use Resource Hacker:

ResHacker has not been updated for ages, so I do not know if it works on
Vista, but it probably does, and it's free, so worth checking first::
