Can i able to install another os along with windows vista home bas

Hi,
This is vinay from visakhapatnam.
I have a bought a hp pavillion desktop installed with "windows vista home
basic". I created a new drive and installed another operating system. After
the installation i restarted my computer. To my surprice windows xp has been
started with showing the list operating systems in my pc. As i was given with
the recovery disks i could able to restore my original factory condition.
Now, i want to install another operating system in my computer. Is it
possible to install another operating system keeping my "windows vista home
basic" in another drive? If so please give me your valuable suggestions.
Can i use "windows virtual pc 2007" keeping "windows vista home basic" as
the host?
please feel free to reply me soon.
waiting for your reply.
thank you

vinay kumar.

If you want to install XP as a dual boot to Vista then take a look at this
link from my website:

You can, as you have already suggested, also use Virtual PC 2007.

I run my copy of XP on VMware Workstation (Virtual Machine) however this
application is not free unlike Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.
