Windows media player stops working when I plug in my MP3 Player

Can't anyone help me. ?????? I have posted a thread previously but can't beleive that NO-ONE knows a solution to this problem.

Everytime I plug in my MP3 player to sync it ..windows media player shuts down and it says that it is working on a solution to the problem.

Someone please help me as to what I should do ..I am at a loss.

Just a guess but is it possible that there is a corrupt MP3 on there
causing the player to crash?

I don't know if damaged format might also cause this, for example if the
player was unplugged without "Ejecting" it first. Can you borrow a
player to try or maybe a machine to try your player in?

I guess I am assuming that the USB port works for other devices and that
your player plugs right into it, but that may not be the case.

Did you try a Google search for the model number and a word or two like
media player to see if anyone with that specific model has similar
problems? Sorry if that doesn't sound too helpful but it sounds like
either WMP is broken or there might be a hardware fault. If the port is
good for other things then that helps narrow it down a bit.

yes same with me...everything works fine on my laptop but as soon as I plug it into my PC ..same problem every time...oh well ..cant figure it out ..have tried all kinds of things...it worked fine before my PC went in for repairs and now all these all new set of problems....I really dont want to send my computer back....you wouldn't beleive how many times it has been back and has been returned with a whole new set of problems.
