Programs not accessing registry?! Please advise!

Hi,
About a week ago, I started running into problems with a number of
programs not saving settings. Any idea what is going on? Here's what
I've got:

Firefox keeps trying to save passwords despite my trying to disable the
feature.

Callburner keeps running in free mode despite my saving the access key.
It also keeps running at startup, despite my disabling this.

Activewords also keeps running at startup, but cannot access it's
database and freezes up.

Bitdefender runs, but now no longer will run either manual or scheduled
system scans.

I'm sure I'm missing a few. What is going on here?! Any thoughts would
be greatly appreciated.

Henry

Hi Henry Heapoc,
Welcome to the forums.
With all these issues what anti-virus/anti-spyware/adware are you using? Have you ran a scan?
