Deleting 'install update file' icons from desktop

Forgive me for being so naive but....

I recently updated 2 programs via internet and saved the files to my desktop
(per install instructions). Now that the updates were installed and programs
properly updated, can I delete the icons eventho they say they are .exe
applications (in properties) ?

Thanks.

Hi Annie,

Sounds like these are the actual update files. Since you have installed the updates, you can safely delete the files, but if you reinstall the program you will have to go and download the updates again. You could move them to another folder on your hard drive to save them in case you need to reinstall the software for some reason.

Thanks so much. I'll just move them then...just in case.

I appreciate your quick reply.
