| | Readyboost/Paging File I tried to post this earlier but I don't think it went through. I apologize if it ends up being a double post. I'm using Vista Ultimate. I have 2GB of RAM installed, and an 8GB Flash drive that I'm using for Readyboost with 4GB reserved for Readyboost. Do I still need to use a paging file with this setup? Thanks for any replies. |

| | Re: Readyboost/Paging File There is absolutely no benefit to blocking or stopping the creation of a virtual memory file ("swapfile") so don't. No matter how much memory you have, whether or not you use ReadyBoost, don't mess with the virtual memory file. If it's not needed it won't be used. Some programs are known to have problems (ie, CRASH!) if one is not present. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] rgharper@xxxxxx * NEW!
