IE7 and Internet protected mode

Hi,
Anyone know why;in Vista;when I have IE7 set to Internet Protected
Mode=ON; it's saying Internet protected mode=off;at the bottom of IE7?
Tools>Internet Options>Security> Enable Protected mode box;is checked; and
still no pro tected mode.
Have UAC off; does UAC have something to do with it?
I don't think it does?
Any suggestions?

Jeff

RE: IE7 and Internet protected mode

I noticed the same, and with UAC turned on it shows Protected Mode On. So I
think you have it right, related to UAC.
