PHP

I`m currently running Vista Home Premium SP1 and try to install PHP5 & Apache
2.0
Allot of errors when starting up, .dll files missing or invalid etc. So I
tried to install WAMP5. The installation was fine but again, when the app
start I get all the errors again!!
Is this maybe a compatibility issue?
I want to install this for php script testing.
Any help will be gr8

Jaco Joubert

Most of them "slurp" messages from these Microsoft public newsgroups (also
known as Microsoft Communities or discussion groups), so your post is
probably already shown in many of those forums. Now you'll have to go sign
in to each of those forums to see if there are any responses - UNLESS each
forum also relays any responses from there back to the MS server.

I can't help with your actual problem because I have no idea what PHP is and
you didn't spell it out.

Re: PHP

It's likely that the apps are having trouble with Permissions. Rightclick
the setup exe file, and 'run as administrator'

Re: PHP

Hi,

Maybe the following articles may help you:

Install Apache on Windows Vista (Updated):

http://senese.wordpress.com/2007/06/...windows-vista/

PS: The author also uses Home Premium.

Install PHP under Apache and Vista:

http://senese.wordpress.com/2007/06/...windows-vista/

PS: Use manual instead of installer.

You can find additional installation-related information from PHP.net:

http://tw2.php.net/manual/en/faq.ins...lation.apache2

This will be a perfect opportunity for Open Source advocates come to assist,
but where are they?

Hope this helps and good luck.

No problem at all and hope it helps.

I was talking about some Open Source advocates who frequently visit this
newsgroup and thought they should have given you some help too.

It's a platform-related question so no worries.

Good luck.

Re: PHP

Try uninstalling all known versions of MySQL, Apache and PHP on your PC and
then re-load WAMP. WAMP will load the latest version of each.
