Vista Ultimate x64 / limited connectivity /

hi guys, I have just installed vista ultimate x64 and correct drivers. I
have d-link adsl lan router and I have created internet connection. The
connection works however the network icon in the bottom right corner has a
yellow flag on it saying "Limited Connectivity". It takes about a minute for
for the connection to establish (registering your user and pass...) and then
the notification dissapears.

I have checked lan drives for the mb, everything is correct, i have tried
switching off "allow this device to go to sleep" and IPv6 protocol as per
someones suggetion but nothing helps...

is there any way i can at least turn off this notification (like in XP) if
not resolve the problem?

many thanks!

The delay is caused by you router taking time to assign your computer an IP
address using its built-in DHCP server. You can avoid this by assigning
your machine a static IP address.
