Re: defragment disk

Hi Martin,

I do not use XP myself - you might be better going to an XP forum.

But in case anyone reading this can help - I assume you have reinstalled Defrag using the instructions in your link - but it will not run ?

In the meantime if you might like to try the free defrag program from

www.auslogics.com

Many people use this instead of the built-in Windows defragger.

Hope this helps

Re: defragment disk

What I recommend:

For per-file defragging, Defraggler.
http://www.defraggler.com/

For full volume defragging, JkDefrag.
http://www.kessels.com/Jkdefrag/

For PageFile and registry defragging (2k/XP only, not Vista), PageDefrag.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb897426.aspx

All free.
