Explorer process engross 50-60% CPU

My OS is Vista U, after updated OS, the explore process engross 50-60% CPU resource, and the taskbar hangs, kill explorer and restart explore, the taskbar recover, but for a monent, the taskbar hangs again. The explore process engross 50-60% CPU resource all the time. And all pinned programs and used programs list is null, left panel on start menu is blank.
I used process explorer to view the explorer process, find the ntdll.dll engross 50-60% cpu, but there is no problem with the ntdll.dll file.
How to solve this problem? thank you

RE: Explorer process engross 50-60% CPU

Same issue. Is this normal for Vista to sit there and have explorer use up
50% of the CPU doing nothing? No other processes running. I am running an
HP using Windows Vista Home Premium...dual core processor. This machine
should scream and is completely bogged down
