| Master | Re: Can vista do this??? Hi, As far as I know, there's nothing in Vista to do this. You can choose to turn off the display and the hard drive : Control Panel>PowerOptions> Change plan Settings>Change Advanced Power Settings there is a gadget, from here: Download AutoShutdown Vista Gadget 1.4.1 - Vista gadget that will you access to an automatic shutdown utility on your desktop or sidebar - Softpedia Hope that helps SIW2 |

| Guest | Re: Can vista do this??? C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe. Run it from Task Scheduler, say, at a certain time using whatever switches (here: http://itsvista.com/2007/03/shutdown/ ) you need. Or, you can try scheduled scripts/commands: http://www.msfn.org/board/Shutdown-scripts-t113912.html Or, try this free tool: http://www.xfutureblog.com/2007/08/2...sta-automatic/ Search the web (Vista shutdown.exe) or such for more.
