| | Scanner & Camera Wizard hey, just got hooked up with a new dell vostro 200 and am running VISTA for the 1st time and have my 1st delema: i'm looking for the command line to get to the old XP scanner and camera wizard where in can import pictures from my digital Canon A720 camera and not use the tag system etc that vista uses. i want to import pictures into a pre-existing folder and have the files name run continuously like they did in XP. i am running VISTA HOME BASIC. i have tried: wiaacmgr.exe -SelectDevice and wiaacmgr.exe but all that comes up is our scanner? and when i select "CHANGE" the only device listed is our scanner. the camera is on and in "PLAY" mode and ready to upload pics, but it doesn't allow me to access it. i hate the vista picture wizard and want to use the old one. any ideas -- brucered ------------------------------------------------------------------------ brucered's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/brucered.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1035217.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

| | Re: Scanner & Camera Wizard thanks, i did try that. but when i use the card reader the files are named dsc01, dsc02 etc or whatever they are. i want them named "2008 September 001, 002, 003" the same way that XP did. i have also tried sticking the SD card in my printer, but it comes up the same. is there a way to rename all the files in one click, not naming them all individually? sometimes there are 300+pics on the card. -- brucered ------------------------------------------------------------------------ brucered's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/brucered.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-help/1035217.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
