Windows Vista RC1 & Media Center Not Working At All!

OK So I've downloaded the new RC1 of Vista and installed it with a valid
Product Key and everything, but now I am getting an error when loading Media
Center saying that "The configuration settings for your region could not be
determined, please reboot and try again" which I have done several times and
still no luck.

Is this something that someone has come accross or that anyone is aware of
how to fix?

Media Center "configuration settings for your region" (Updated MC

Same here after upgradinging HP Pavilion Media Center M1160N from MCE 2005
(It has Hauppage PC II [26xxxx] if that helps). I noticed in the event log:
Log Name: Application
Source: Media Center Guide
Date: 9/19/2006 11:03:08 AM
Event ID: 0
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic

Computer: Circus
Description:
The description for Event ID 0 from source Media Center Guide cannot be
found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your
local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair
the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to
be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event log for MCE:

Event Info: Error creating/openning
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\EPG\tracehelper\DefaultDomain-CIRCUS$.xml
(error code: 5)

</Event>

Hmmm... There are a couple of other .xml files in
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome and it's subs and they tended to be from
before the upgrade, as is the eshell.config file. I'm about ready to delete
the whole directory (I can always restore it from the trash) and see what
happens.
