| vista home premium | Backup: Catastrophic Failure! Hi .. i am new to this forum . i tried to back up my files for the first time & got this message.."catastrophic failure" shadow copy could not be created. (0x8004230c) I emailed HP & they sent me a link (will try to enclose) but i only got as far as step #6 b/c i couldnt find the folder that contained the name of my computer.  HP and Compaq Desktop PCs*-* Problems Occur after Using Microsoft Backup Tool in Microsoft Vista* i was trying to back up files to a dvd-r..after i put the disk in i get a message that it needs to reformat, thats as far as i got. any advice? |
