Big WoW - people submit ideas and Google funds ONE of them for up to
$10Million.

Hardly a comparison to the fact that using the money he has made from
Microsoft, Bill and Melinda Gates (in terms of their Foundation) have
handed out over $2 BILLION last year alone.
In 2007 alone $1.3 billion in stock, cash, and investment manager fees were
contributed by Bill Gates directly and personally to the foundatation.
If Google really wants to be compared to the charitable work done off the
back of Microsoft profits then they really need to step up by factor of 100
plus.

(Now any good work is good work, but please don't bother trying to score
points off Microsoft using Google as the example in terms of cash to good
causes, or at least do your research first.)
