have your answer. The webcam will not work with Vista 64-bit. You need
drivers for your specific model webcam and they apparently don't exist.
Drivers are different from programs that can run in compatibility mode; I
won't say that *no* drivers will work in compatibility mode but I haven't
ever seen that succeed. Someone else may have a different experience.
Since webcams aren't particularly expensive, look for a new one that
supports Vista.
