| | Can't Open attachments without saving from email first I have always been able to open documents that are attached in email without having to actually SAVE the attachment. This is handy as most of the time I don't want to save it. However, with this relatively new laptop and using Vista, for whatever reason, Vista will not allow me to view any powerpoint attachment without saving it first. This does not happen with Word or Excel. I'm using Student/Home Office 2007, and I'm thinking that either that software has a design flaw concerning the powerpoint "asssociation", or (no surprise here), it just could be a Vista problem. Any suggestions? I've tried everything, and I hate having to save an attached .pps file, look at it, and then delete it. VERY time consuming. | | Re: Can't Open attachments without saving from email first Brad, I have been trying to fix this same problem for several weeks now and this is the first time I came across any information even close to the problem. John Inzer had the correct awnser, at least it worked for me. Go to the www.winhelponline.com this will tell you how to edit the registry, I liked that better than downloading something as you can always put the registry back. Good Luck to You and Thank-You to John Inzer. -- All Help Appreciated "John Inzer" wrote: Quote: > Brad wrote: Quote: > > I have always been able to open documents that are attached in email > > without having to actually SAVE the attachment.
