Windows Live OneCare

Hi I am going to be testing the new Windows Vista RC1 as soon as Microsoft
sends me the dvd. I was reading a review of RC1 and the guy said that OneCare
is not compatible with Vista RC1. So my question is, will I lose my
subscription since I can't use it or will there be some update to make it
work on RC1. Another quick question, for those who ordered the RC1 dvd from
Microsoft, did it take 2-4 weeks to get it. Thank you.

Re: Windows Live OneCare

Windows Live OneCare will be available for Vista when Vista releases to the
general public.

Re: Windows Live OneCare

You can apply for the beta to test the Vista version shortly - you can sign
up for this here:

You should contact support through Help on your Xp license version of
Onecare but I imagine you will have no problems 'upgrading' as such to
running it on Vista when it does RTM.

Cheers

Chris

Here is food for thought...

Given Microsoft's track record for poor security with it's operating systems
and all the other software it produces, do you really want to trust the
security of your information to Microsoft?

Trusting your computer to OneCare is like locking your door and leaving the
key lying out in plain sight.

I, like most, would no more trust my computer's security than I would set my
hair on fire.

And that's the way it should work. If there is a market for a product, and
someone produces the product, people will purchase the product, and pay a
price based on the perceived severity of the need for the product. If a
product does not sell, then you have, my friend, a product "voted out" of
existence.
