make sure you have it set to show hidden files (organise files> folder
and search options> view> show hidden files)

A very effective method for send to is to add a 'Send To' shortcut to the
Send To menu. That way, if you have an item you wish to be in the Send To
menu, you simply right click on it, choose Send To\Send To.

To do this,

1) unhide hidden files.

2) naviagate to the path posted by fatsteve (note that you must substitute
YOUR username for *USERNAME*):

(c:\users\*USERNAME*\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows\sendto)

3) Left click on the send to folder (so that you can see the contents of the
folder in the right pane)

4) Use the right mouse button to drag the Send To folder into itself (the
right pane)

5) when you release the right mouse button, choose 'Create Shortcut Here'.

That's it. To check it out, right click on any file, go to the Send To item,
note that you now have a Send To shortcut in the Send to fly out menu. Very
convenient.

Mikel

Re: Send To menu

Thank you Mikel

an excellent bit of lateral thinking

btw %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo will always go to the send to folder even if hidden

Re: Send To menu

Click Start, type "shell:sendto" and press ENTER.
Add the required shortcuts in there.

Thanks, Barman. Nice to know. I also like Ramesh's Shell: tip. I generally
keep a shortcut to such folders that might require intermitten access.
Cookies\Low is one such example. I keep these in a 'tools' folder that I set
as a toolbar on the taskbar.
