rundll32 not working?

Hi
I'm getting the message
"Windows host process (rundll 32) has stopped working"
it seems to be part of the install process
Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix please?

Very "generic" error. It's like saying: "A warning sign went on". Yup good,
but you have to say more.

whole google is before you
"rundll32 has stopped working" - Szukaj w Google
generally some codecs cause this problem i.e Ligos codecs,Nero codecs,Vista Codecs Pack and many other...

for precision go to:

Re: rundll32 not working?

From google searches it appears that Nero could be the culprit
So I'm trying this suggestion to see

=================================

Ok this is an easy fix. I had exactly the same problem.

1. Go to computer, your main drive, program files, common files,
Ahead, DSfilter.

2. Rename "NeroVideoProc.ax" to say "1NeroVideoProc.ax"

3. Rename "NeVideo.ax" to say "1NeVideo.ax"

4. Reboot

Re: rundll32 not working?

What's the specific fault information for this crash according to the
Problem Reports and Solutions control panel's "View Problem History"?

Re: rundll32 not working?

When did this start happening? Are you noticing any other effects? Have
you run up-to-date anti-virus/trojan/keylogger software on your system?
