| | Will IE survive on its own without being buit into Windows? How long this IE will survive even with all those cosmetic changes? I am wondering why this useless utility still hangs around my Vista, could someone please tell me the reasons to keep this and can I remove this at all. |

You can remove it using vlite perhaps, but I can assure you that you need it installed. Just ignore the darn thing.
