Under the HME folder is another folder titled: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\HME\S-1-5-21-1735718056-2214544177-2514508359-1000, Then a DWORD key named "AcceptedPrivacyStatement" with a value of "1" I'm adding "DisableDiscovery" under that key. I'll see what happens... |

| Member | Re: Stopping W/MediaPlayer ..... Sorry for taking so long to get back to you! Yesterday's Vista Update FUBAR'ed my system (some message saying the update didn't apply to my OS???). Anyway, got that straightened out and MIRACULOUSLY the possession of my wmpnetwk has ceased. I have no idea how or what fixed it?! Of course its developed another possession which seems uncontrollable by normal humans.
