There is no "Software Security Policies" because there is no "Local
Security Policy" in Administrative Tools

Really? First I need to know where to find "Local Security Policy" since
it's not in Administrative Tools in the Control Panel in Vista Home Premium.

I believe a lot of this stuff that you're posting about is not on the
Home versions, just on the business class versions of Vista.

I have Vista HP 32bit. Looks like people here assume everyone has the same
version they do.

Hi,

The group policy editor is not available in Any of the home versions of windows vista.
Although the options controlled by GPE are available by direct registry editing, assuming of course that you can find them . When looking for solutions to problems if you state the version of vista you are using that will help posters to suggest appropriate options.
