can't ping but can browse websites

Hi,
I read previous posts. Well, my situation is different...!

recently i installed vista in notebook. Configured wirelless through DHCP.
ip was assigned properly from my DHCP range,
i can browse websites....But i can't ping my local / publice IP's or websites.

Showing.....
-general failure....
even i applied static IP....same...same...

If someone advice...woule be most appriciate...for this strange IP4 /IP6...

My first suspect would be a bad router, constantly searching for addresses
it is failing to find. Perhaps the router would need a new copy of its bios.
Event ID 4199 is logged in the System log when you assign or change an IP
address on a Windows Vista-based computer:
