| | Right sidebar on desktop How is the sidebar that keeps popping up on the right hand side of the desktop gotten rid of? It covers the icons I use on that side which, unlike in XP, will not stay where I place them. |

Windows Sidebar Startup You can also have the Sidebar open on the left side of the screen if youl like to. See the screenshot under step 4 in the link above to select that option. It's a narrow bar on the left-hand side. The RAM eating Gadget bar was on the right and was already removed. There is *NO Close Sidebar* when clicking on this narrow bar. Plus, the screenshots usually help more with what to do. Take a look at the example screenshot in this tutorial to see if this is something similar to what you have? Toolbar for the Desktop If that is not it above, then could you attach a screenshot of this to help clarify what it is?
