| | 32 or 64 bit Vista? Because you need all 64-bit drivers and such I'd suggest just sticking with 32 bits. The "x64" or "x86" or whatever are needed to address more than 4 gigabytes .. and they are fairly compatable with the older 32 bit stuff (re-compile required) I did note HUNDREDS of new IRQs under Vista, and once IA64 comes out then it is important to switch (IA 64 defines HUNDREDS of new registers that the various CPU-units can DIRECTLY OPERATE ON it is an exciting spec at least if you are into programming systems and low-level utilities) Also limitations on FAT or NTFS file sizes are not changed just how much RAM is directly addressable. That raises a good question: why will Windows put video, audio, and networking all on one IRQ? everything should have its own IRQ its better and faster this way.
