"Recycle Bin on D:\ is corrupted"

I don't know if this applies to the problem I have now, but I'll share anyways. Yesterday I accidentally deleted the 'Documents' folder. I restored them, and everything seemed to be working fine afterwards..

The problem: When I turn on my computer, go to my recycle bin, or click to send something into the recycle bin, I get the following message:

Recycle Bin on D:\ is corrupted. Do you want to empty the recycle bin for this drive?

It doesn't matter if I click yes or no, nothing happens (that I can see anyway..).

I read the "Recycle Bin Corrupted - Cannot Delete File or Folder" thread, but I wasn't really sure if it applied to what's going on with my computer? Also, the items in the bin aren't showing up at all.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello as170,

Yes, that tutorial should help you out. Just be sure to delete the "$RECYCLE.BIN" folder on both the C: and D: drives in steps 3 and 4 before restarting.

Hope this helps,
