| Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit SP1 | Vista Sidebar Gadgets Don't Install Hi, I've searched through these forums & google to find a solution to fix this problem, but nothing has worked so far. I've even found this thread (Gadgets will not install on the sidebar:() which I thought might fix it, but after trying the solution it offered my problem was still there... Steps I've tried: - I've tried installing straight from the Microsoft website using IE & Firefox. - I've tried saving to a folder on my PC, then double clicking on the downloaded file to install. - I've tried right clicking on the downloaded file & unblocking it (as per the link i posted above) to install. - I've tried dragging the downloaded file onto the sidebar to install. Unfortunately, none of the above steps I've tried have worked... Currently I have 4 gadges running on my sidebar, they are all pre-installed ones. 1)Vista CLock 2)Vista Calender 3)Vista Quick Note & 4)Vista Slideshow. They only take up about half of the height of the screen, so there's still space for a few more gadgets to be installed. Hopefully someone can suggest something I haven't already tried, because I'd liketo add a few other gadgets that I don't already have to customize my sidebar a little. Any Help? FizZ |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: Vista Sidebar Gadgets Don't Install I've had the same problem with the Manchester United gadget. Apparently in my case it was a problem with language compatibility. The gadget had a en-EN folder while my sidebar was looking for a nl-NL folder or something. Here are simple instructions which fixed the problem for me: Message boards Hope it helps Grtz |
