Vista H prem & Office 2000

Hi all, I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop with Vista Home Premium
pre-installed. I also have genuine Office 2000 Professional install cd's.
Can I use these to install Office on my laptop? Will it work??

regards

Re: Vista H prem & Office 2000

Hi there,

Runs fine here but I'm not using Outlook. You can use Outlook I believe but
there are security issues and there is a problem with the parts of the
program that used the old address book. There are some work arounds for this
I believe but its not really worth it IMO. Windows Mail isnt perfect but
works fine and windows live mail is much more advanced in some areas.

The only thing that is a slight problem is that the help files arnt able to
run but I never used them anyway. The office assistant - you need to choose
which one you want from the advanced install tick boxes. You cant change it
from within Office as it uses the help files. You can always put the disc
in and load a different option so not really a problem.
