Windows Sidebar Crashes at Startup / Login

Every morning when I login to my Vista Enterprise system I get a prompt that
DEP is closing Windows Sidebar. My event log has

Faulting application sidebar.exe, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp
0x4791952a, faulting module sidebar.exe, version 6.0.6001.18000, time stamp
0x4791952a, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00001c18

Can anyone help with a proper way to start troubleshooting this crash?

You might want to consider 'disabling DEP for particular application viz
Sidebar only' (http://www.winvistaclub.com/t208.html).

Re: Windows Sidebar Crashes at Startup / Login

Hi Sandy,

Try eliminating 3rd party Gadgets one by one to isolate the problem.
