| | Problem with Telephony Service Hi There, I am trying to run HyperTerminal on my Vista x64 workstation in order to configure Cisco switches. Problem is that when I try to open HyperTerminal I get the following error: "another program is using the selected telephony device. Try again after the other program completes." I cannot find ANY other device that would use this service. I do not have a modem, and I do connect my cell phone to the computer via USB but it is currently NOT connected. In "Phone and Modem Options" I do have a default location. I suspect this to be the culprit and would like to delete but can't. I have disabled the Telephony Service, restarted the workstation and restarted the service and continue to get the same error. I know this can work, as the other engineers in my department are functioning just fine. I am the only (un)lucky one with this problem. Thanks for any help. Debbie |
